ForestHub was founded by developers and engineers with deep experience in embedded systems, software architecture, and machine learning. Our insight from industrial projects: the perception layer is well-solved today — but the orchestration layer that turns sensor predictions into coordinated actions is missing as an accessible platform. That's the layer we're building.
Our team combines years of research at the Hahn-Schickard Institute — one of Germany's leading research institutes for applied microsystems technology — with experience in industrial software development, simulation, and AI research. From deep learning and computer vision to mechatronics and aerospace engineering: we don't just bring theoretical knowledge, we've proven it in real-world systems.
What sets us apart from many tech startups: we don't just understand the technology, but also its context. With expertise in tech governance and AI policy research, we think beyond the code — about regulation, privacy, and the societal impact of the systems we build.
ForestHub operates at the intersection of embedded systems, edge computing, and agentic AI — fields that are converging rapidly. We question our own assumptions daily and stay curious, because the best technology comes from the willingness to keep rethinking.
Our approach: not "AI for everything", but the right intelligence in the right place. Sometimes that's a RAG system for service. Sometimes an autonomous agent on the edge device. It's always a solution that works under real-world conditions.

How do multiple sensors, models, and actuators work together? Nobody is building this layer as an accessible platform.
